Dutch Vibes in Tuscany: A Special Day at Terre di Nano

Elyne and Jan-Willem are a young Dutch couple who chose Tuscany as the backdrop for their wedding. From the very first moment I met them, I was struck by their sweetness, simplicity, and the peaceful energy they radiated.

The day began with the scents of the Tuscan countryside and the kind of silence you only find in places where time seems to slow down. While Elyne was getting ready with her friends, smiling in front of the mirror, Jan-Willem was taking care of the final details with his mother by his side. Small gestures, full of meaning.

The weather, at the end of June, wasn’t looking too promising. Dark clouds hovered over the hills, creating a suspended, almost cinematic atmosphere. But then… the rain changed its mind. Only the sound of the wind through the trees and the distant song of birds remained.

The ceremony took place with a breathtaking view over the hills, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. Elyne and Jan-Willem said yes to each other in such an intimate and heartfelt way that, for a moment, it felt like the whole world had stopped to listen.

The reception was the perfect mix of elegance and spontaneity. A long table under the olive trees, fairy lights hanging above, and glasses raised to celebrate love. After our photo session, the couple was welcomed back by their guests waving white napkins in the air, laughing and cheering. A simple gesture, yet so full of joy that it made the atmosphere even warmer.

The evening ended with sparks—literally. A tunnel of lights and sparklers greeted the couple, surrounded by the affection of friends and family.
It was a wedding made of small moments and big emotions. Of meaningful silences and wholehearted laughter. A wedding that didn’t follow trends, but followed the heart. And for me, capturing it through my camera was a true privilege.
