Guus-Jan and Nienke are a Dutch couple who live in New York. For their wedding in early September, they chose the charming Tuscan venue of San Ilario in Gambassi, an intimate location that I know very well and always love returning to.

The ceremony felt deeply personal and authentic, officiated by a dear friend who added a special and emotional touch to the day. San Ilario’s relaxed and cozy atmosphere created a serene, informal mood, perfect for enjoying every moment fully.

Right after the ceremony, guests enjoyed the impressive tower of glasses during the aperitif—a fun, original, and scenic way to toast before dinner.

For the couple’s photoshoot, we took only a few minutes, staying close to the guests. San Ilario is ideal for this approach; every corner offers natural beauty and charming details, making it easy to create beautiful, authentic images without taking precious time away from family and friends.

During dinner, emotional speeches brought laughter, tears, and unforgettable memories, deeply moving everyone present.
