Wedding in Tuscany at Baccoleno – Josiah & Shanah

Autumn in Tuscany has its own unique charm — but there are days when summer doesn’t want to say goodbye. That’s exactly the feeling that surrounded Josiah and Shanah’s wedding: warm air, golden light, and that magical mix of seasons that only October in the Val d’Orcia can offer.

They chose Baccoleno as their wedding venue — a true Tuscan gem I had the pleasure of discovering for the first time. As soon as I arrived, I understood why they had fallen in love with this place. Rolling hills stretched to the horizon, a rustic stone farmhouse nestled in nature, and that soft golden light Tuscany is known for.

Josiah, from the United States, and Shanah, from the Netherlands, were joined by their closest family and friends. From the very beginning, the atmosphere was emotional, intimate, and full of joy.

The day was beautifully planned by De Italiaanse Bruiloft, who made sure everything ran smoothly and felt truly personal. Their touch added warmth and care to every part of the celebration.

At sunset, we took a quiet moment for a photo session along Baccoleno’s iconic cypress-lined road. Just the two of them, laughing, smiling, and soaking in the beauty of the day.

Dinner was served outdoors, under the stars. A long imperial table dressed in rustic Tuscan elegance — olive branches, wicker placemats, and candles glowing in the breeze. It looked like a dream, and every detail spoke of authentic, natural beauty.

The speeches were heartfelt and moving. A few joyful tears ran down Shanah’s cheeks — and for me, it was an honor to capture those unrepeatable moments.
